🧠 Why SongLeap?

The name SongLeap comes from the idea of “leaping” — jumping from clue to clue until you uncover the song title. Every wrong guess isn’t a failure — it’s a leap forward: each attempt unlocks new hints that bring you closer to the right answer.
Plus, in SongLeap, we call each new day a “leap” — every day is a fresh musical challenge. A different track, a new opportunity to test your musical memory and discover something great.

SongLeap is a daily music game where your goal is to guess the title of a song. Each day features one new song for all players around the world. You’ll have 6 tries to guess the correct title.

With every wrong guess, you’ll receive progressive hints to guide you — including short audio clips, the artist’s name, part of the lyrics, the release year, or the album it came from.

🎨 Colors that sing

Every time you try a song title in SongLeap, the game checks your guess letter by letter and gives you a visual response. But it’s not just about the letters — their positions matter too.

  • M Green: Nailed it! The letter is in the title and in the right spot.
  • O Yellow: Close! The letter is in the title, but in a different position.
  • Y Gray: Nope — this letter isn’t part of the title at all.

Let’s say the hidden song title is IMAGINE and you start with the guess:

♻️ What if there are repeated letters?

Sometimes, a song title may include repeated letters. In those cases, each letter is evaluated separately, and more accurate guesses are prioritized.

For example, if the title is GUESS and you guess:

  • The first S turns yellow (right letter, wrong spot).
  • The second S turns green (right letter, right place).

If you try a guess with only one S, like:

— that S will turn green if it’s correctly placed. But the game won’t tell you that there’s another S still hidden — you’ll need another leap to figure it out.

🔍 Hints and progress

With every failed guess, you’ll unlock new musical clues to help you along. The more you try, the clearer the picture gets. After each failed attempt, you’ll receive a new hint:

  • 🎵 3s Audio – A 3-second clip from the song.
  • 📅 Release Year – The year the song was released.
  • 🔡 Revealed Letters – Some letters of the song title are revealed to help you guess.
  • 📃 Lyrics – A fragment of the song’s lyrics.
  • 📀 Album + 7s Audio – The album name + a 7-second audio clip.
  • 👤 Artist – The performer or band name.
  • 🔊 30s Audio – A 30-second audio snippet of the track.

In SongLeap, you can tailor your challenge by choosing from several themed music channels, each focused on a specific style or genre. Every channel delivers a daily challenge with carefully selected songs for fans and explorers alike.

Here are the channels:

  • 🎸 Rock & Loud – Rock hits from around the world, from timeless anthems to modern bangers.
  • 🎵 Hit The Beat – International chart-toppers that defined generations.

You can play in one or multiple channels each day, depending on your taste.
Each channel has its own daily mystery song — so the more channels you explore, the more musical leaps you’ll experience!

If a song title contains repeated or very common words, don’t worry. The clues are designed to keep the challenge fair.
Each word in the title is evaluated independently.
